A serious outage has taken login functionality offline for almost 24 hours, leaving subscribers to Adobe's Creative Cloud unable to access their accounts or do much of anything else - including downloading new apps. As yet, Adobe has been unable to offer any indication of how long the outage will last, but a message on the CC homepage states that the company has 'identified the cause [and is] working to restore the service as quickly as possible'.

Meanwhile, the company's customer service Twitter feed has live updates on the issue, and Adobe has created a help page which explains the problem to its users, and recommends customers use their software 'in trial mode' until the outage is fixed.

As long as the outage lasts, Adobe is facing a storm of negative feedback from disgruntled users. Lest we forget, many Adobe customers were less than delighted when the company's flagship Creative Suite moved to a cloud-based subscription model in the first place.

Update: as of 6pm Pacific Time, Adobe has stated '[...] ID issue is resolved. We are bringing services back online. We will share more details once we confirm everything is working'
