Photo gear company Fotopro has launched a crowdfunding campaign for Mogo, a flexible monopod based on the Fotopro UFO. Mogo features flexible legs that can be wrapped around a rail or post or used on uneven surfaces.

Google has built a fascinating rotating light field VR camera rig using 16 GoPros mounted in an arc. The rig is meant to give viewers "a more realistic sense of presence” within a VR world.
Canon's 120MXS APS-H CMOS sensor can capture 120MP at 9.4fps. To get an idea of just how much resolution that is, Canon created this demo video, that pits the 120MXS footage against regular 1080p HD from a Canon 1D Mark IV.

A sensor designed to be used in space has gone on general release from cinema camera manufacturer Red. The Gemini 5K S35 was originally created especially to work in very low light conditions, but has been adapted to offer dual native ISO settings so it can also shoot in normal conditions.
Canon has announced the EOS C700 FF, an updated version of the company's C700 cinema camera that includes a full frame sensor in place of a Super 35 sensor. This allows the camera to use Canon's entire line of EF-mount lenses at their standard focal lengths.

Mahmoud Abou Zeid, a 31-year-old photojournalist also known by the alias Shawkan, is currently facing a death sentence in Cairo. Zeid was arrested while covering anti-government protests for a British photo agency in August 2013.
The full infographic covers 18 years: starting with the manufacturer's first camera phone, the 0.11MP SCH-V200, and ending with the company's flagship Galaxy S9 smartphones.
One of the limitations of Sony a7R III's Pixel Shift mode is that you have to use Sony's Imaging Edge software to process the resulting 'quartets.' That's where SonyPixelShift2DNG comes in, converting those unwieldy ARW files into DNGs you can edit in your favorite Raw converter.
Spending time in Japan for CP+ also means that we've been able to get out and take some photos on the vibrant streets of Yokohama. With a 20MP 1" sensor and 24-360mm equiv. zoom, the Panasonic ZS200 / TZ200 was up to the task.
