In a class of its own: Samsung NX1 review

Samsung's NX1 seemed to offer pretty much every feature possible when we were first briefed about it last year. Its 28.2MP APS-C BSI sensor, hybrid AF system, 4K video and 15 fps continuous shooting with AF have continued to impress us throughout our extensive testing. Samsung NX1 Review
1256

Samsung has been pretty inventive in the digital camera world. It was the first to offer an really extensive Wi-Fi system (which continues to this day), Android-based cameras (though Nikon launched a model at about the same time), and arguably the first dedicated 'selfie cams' with its DualView models.

Island life: Samsung NX500 Shooting Experience

The Samsung NX500 takes some of the best bits of the NX1, including the same 28MP APS-C format sensor and still imaging pipeline, and wraps them up in a smaller, less expensive body. We recently had the opportunity to shoot with an NX500 on the beautiful island of Hawaii. We've already published a couple of samples galleries, but click through to read about how we got on with Samsung's newest mirrorless interchangeable lens camera

Aloha! We go shooting with Samsung's new NX500 [UPDATED]

UPDATED: We just added several images to this gallery, converted from raw. The Samsung NX500 is essentially a scaled down version of Samsung's flagship NX1. It uses the same 28MP BSI-CMOS sensor, advanced hybrid AF system, and a version of the same DRIMe V processor. The main differences are the form factor (resembling a rangefinder rather than an SLR), burst mode (9 vs 15 fps), and viewfinder (none vs electronic). We've been using a production NX500 for a couple of days, and we've put together a gallery of real-world samples. Click through for the updated gallery

It hasn't even entered production yet, but Samsung's S 300mm f/2.8 ED OIS telephoto lens is certainly shaping up to be a very nice addition to the NX line. We were fortunate enough to be allowed access to a pre-production engineering sample of this new lens for a few hours. As a result we've put together a small gallery of images which should give some idea about the lens's likely performance once it becomes available. See gallery

The Droid you're looking for? Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 review posted

The Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 is the second iteration of that manufacturer's ultra-connected camera running full Android OS. It's a 16MP camera with a 23-483mm equivalent lens that also happens to run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though it lacks the 3G/4G connectivity of its predecessor and offers only Wi-Fi. Is this hybrid the best of both worlds, or does it come up short in the imaging department? Read review
