Studio scene comparison (higher sensitivities)

As you can see, compared to a 'standard sensor' compact camera such as the Ricoh GRD II the Sigma DP1 does a very good job at maintaining detail at higher sensitivities although there is quite a large amount of chroma noise creeping in and the DP1's maximum sensitivity of ISO 800 is not very high at all.

Compared to a DSLR like the Canon EOS 450D or D60 the DP1 doesn't look as good. Though the DP1's excellent per pixel sharpness remains, at ISO 800 both SLRs show better control of chroma noise and the X3 sensor's detail has been compromised.
