Like the Leica X1, the Panasonic GF1's base ISO output looks a little more processed and sharpened than the Ricoh's. It's more saturated as well. As we can see in the banknote the GF1 also has a tendency towards showing color moire on fine detail - the Ricoh images are cleaner and, again, give more leeway for additional processing. As we've noted in previous reviews, the GF1's JPEG output isn't great and does neither lens nor sensor any favors.
