OpinionLet me tell you my story and review of LC20. This is my opinions and is pretty subjective to my values.I did not want to spend too much time reading spec/reviews. So I went into one of the biggest digital camera site(dcinside.com), and saw the pictures taken by LC-20. This site has many pictures taken by beginners like me as well as professionals, and pictures are sorted by manufacturers, so that you can see pictures taken by Canon, Nikon, etc. BTW, the site is Korean. However, if you just want to see pictures, it should be fine, most keywords(like manufacturer name, model name) are English. For some reason, I and my wife really liked the pictures taken by Panasonic. Maybe due to Leica. (Honestly though, I did not even know what the Leica was before I learned about LC20). The pictures taken by LC-20 somehows gave us the feeling of optical camera pictures, compared to other famous/popular brands. We liked the vivid and yet stilll natural colors of LC20. We also liked the macro pictures taken by LC20, very accurate at this price range. We also liked the pictures of people, where their skin colors looked very natural and yet vivid. We also liked the feeling of less digital feeling, more regular camera feeling like I mentioned previously. Next day, I went to Frys to actually see LC20. As soon as I hold LC20, I knew this is it. The >6months search was over. Honestly, for last >6 months I could not make my mind up to buy those famous/popular point-shoot camera, because they just did not meet my type/feelings, or whatever. Just did not like others. But LC20, gave me the instant/intense desire to own it. Dont know much, but I guess it looks kind of like classic camera. It does not look like Robocops, and I am happy about it. It does look like camera. That is all I can say. I've got a pretty good deal at Frys, but that is another story. Since we got home, I was really shocked by image quality it produced. I produced the image exactly like the one we enjoyed from dcinside.com. I and my wife are totally happy with LC-20. Now, I think this camera actually is a little harder to use than those in the same genre. Looks like you have to learn detailed techniques to optimize the image quality, especially pictures of dark scene. I think I am only using 60% of its capacity, and I am already happy with image quality. LC20 makes me want to learn the photography. I think I am going to keep LC20 for long till I need "better"/level up unit. I I was budgetting ~$300 including necessary accessories, like >64M SD, 4 >1800mA NiMH and a charger. If you are lucky like I was, you can make these plus LC20 within $300.00. | ||||
