| From the main Vista menu you can select View File List to browse a textual list of folders and files (see right) or View Thumbnails to browse a thumbnail view of folders and files. |
Here you can see a sequence of frames representing a navigation of folders in File List browse mode. Note that the top level directory (an eight digit number) represents a single transfer (or card contents). |

| When browsing in Thumbnail mode each folder has a small thumbnail of an image from its contents, enter the folder and you will see a thumbnail view (3 x 3) of images within the folder. |
Pressing the OK (*) option while in File List or Thumbnail view mode enters the Options menu. From here you can cut / copy / paste folders and files (to move them around the folder structure), you can also delete folders and files and carry out other tasks such as emptying the recycle folder, deleting cache files and copying folders or files back to a CF card. Note you can also start a slideshow from this menu. |

| Here is an example of the type of prompt you would see when attempting to delete a folder, empty the recycle folder etc. | Selecting an image (press ENTER key) from either File List or Thumbnail browse modes displays the image so that it fits on the screen display. Note that the first time you view an image it may take a few seconds, after this a 'cached' version of the image speeds the process up considerably. |

| Press the ENTER button with an image displayed to overlay EXIF information, this includes details such as the camera used, software version, date & time. | As well as exposure information such as aperture, exposure mode, shutter speed, focal length. Note that the shutter speed formatting is due to the pre-production nature of the review unit. |

| Press the Cancel (#) button to return to full view. You can then magnify the image by pressing the OK (*) button. | The image can be magnified up to 8x and scrolled using the 4-way controller. |
One annoyance about the Vista's file browsing behaviour is that when the unit powers down it does not remember the folder you were browsing. Thus if you return to File List or Thumbnail view modes you have to navigate back through the folder structure to get to the correct folder once more.
Here we can see some of the more advanced 'on screen' functionality of the Vista, all of the captures below are as you would see them on the Vista's LCD panel.
