Battery Charger

A D-BC7 battery charger is supplied, just slip the battery out of the camera and onto the charger to top it back up to capacity. A full charge from flat will take a maximum of 3 hours. |

On the left side of the camera (from the rear) is a small connectors compartment covered by a rubber door, behind this you will find the combined USB and A/V out and DC-IN (for optional AC adapter) connectors. |

The flash unit is mounted at the top right corner of the camera front, it has a specified range of 3.8 m at wide angle and 2.2 m at telephoto (Auto ISO). |

Auto Focus Assist Lamp

To the top left of the lens is the AF assist lamp, it provides a very bright beam of reddish-orange light to assist the camera's contrast detect AF system in low light situations. You can disable this lamp from the camera menu. |
