The slight advantage we saw in JPEG is amplified in RAW, with the G1 capturing an excellent level of fine detail with no more in the way of artifacts than the Sony. If this result is the result of the G1 having a weaker anti-aliasing filter, then there aren't any obvious disadvantages to this approach. There's not much difference in the way highlights are handled, either, with a fairly smooth transition to completely 'clipped' whites in the paperclip crop.
