Once you hit ISO 800 the SP-550UZ's advantage has been lost altogether, as both cameras struggle to produce a usable result. The Olympus noise reduction is producing more obvious artefacts (and the Sony output now actually looks sharper), but there is visibly less chroma noise. It really is 'hobson's choice'.
