This is our standard studio scene comparison shot taken from exactly the same tripod position. Lighting: daylight simulation, >98% CRI. Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F).

The 500D is the only camera to offer any obvious resolution advantage over the E-620 - its output is detailed, sharp and clean in a way that the E-620 just can't match. It's worth bearing in mind, though, that working with 100% crops we're having to look very closely in order to spot these differences.
