Studio scene comparison (higher sensitivities)

The E-510's default Noise Filter setting keeps visible noise to an absolute minimum at the expense of image detail which is frankly heavily blurred. As you'll see later in the review if you're not uncomfortable with a little visible noise you can turn the Noise Filter setting off (and turn down sharpness) to get the more detail.

1. I own E-420 & E-510 and both have the same problem with the incorporated flash: doesn't rise up enough so that in the image taken with lens hood mounted will appear a shadow in the lower part of the image.
2. At the E-510 you can delete an image by mistake because the 'play' button & 'delete' button are very close and there is no message to ask if you wanna really delete it.

1. Take the lens hood off.
2. You've selected the instant delete feature, which WILL obviously delete a photo without any further warning. Go back into the menu and change that setting to the default, which WILL ask for confirmation before finally deleting a photo.
RTFM.
