Now we can move on to our archived test charts, we'll
now compare the E-10 to other professional offerings on the market: Nikon
D1, Canon EOS-D30 and Fujifilm S1 Pro. Colour patches below taken in daylight
with Auto WB setting.

We're only measuring colour below. RGB values below were
taken from a VGA reduced image (to average colours and eliminate JPEG
artifacts) using the Eyedropper tool in Photoshop with a 5 by 5 Average
Sample Size.

Unfortunately the E-10 didn't get the white balance quite
right here leaving everything with a "cool" (blue) cast, we
went back and re-shot the chart and got identical results, so to be fair
to the other cameras we have to use this shot for comparison. Again, less
saturated but still fairly accurate colours.

Resolution Charts
Shots here are of the PIMA/ISO 12233 standard resolution
test chart (more available for comparison in our cameras database). How
to read the charts: All values are 1/100 th lines/picture height. So the
"10" value equates to 1000 lines/picture height.
Notes: Fujifilm S1 Pro sample shot at 6 megapixels (interpolated)
thus crops will look much bigger than the other 3 megapixel cameras.

The E-10's 4 megapixels perform well producing detail
a little better than the current crop of professional digital cameras,
all but the S1 Pro which still manages to keep its resolution crown despite
only having a 3 megapixel sensor (which is then internally interpolated
to 6 megapixels).
