Record mode display
This a typical 'live view' screen in one of the P/A/S/M exposure modes. The currently metered exposure is shown at the top of the screen with other camera settings information overlaid down the left side and along the bottom of the screen.
|Half-press the shutter release button and the camera will auto focus and lock exposure, if AF was successful a green focus indicator 'dot' will be shown on the left side of the screen. In this example the flash icon is blinking to indicate a slow exposure, the camera is recommending the use of the flash.|
After taking the shot this review screen is displayed, the black bar on the left indicates the status of the camera buffer (just one image in this case).
|An example of one of the manual exposure modes (A, S or M) where the setting which can be modified is shown in green, it will turn red if the selected exposure it outside the camera's exposure range.|
|An example of full Auto exposure mode, the only settings which can be changed are focus/ spot metering, flash mode, image size/quality and self-timer. Everything else is automatic.||An example of a scene mode, in this case sports mode which uses the highest shutter speed possible.|
|Example of movie clip record mode, the time remaining refers to the total space on the card. You are limited to a maximum movie clip length of 16 seconds at 320 x 240 and 70 seconds at 160 x 120.|
Play mode display
|Switching to play mode immediately displays the last image taken. This is the normal display mode. The overlaid text disappears after approximately two seconds.||Select INFO from the Play menu to switch to more detailed information. The overlaid text disappears after approximately two seconds.|
Press the delete button to delete the current image. Requires Yes / No confirmation.
|Press the protect button to protect or unprotect the current image. Note the indicator icon at the top right.|
Press the zoom controller to wide to switch to a thumbnail view (you can select a 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 view from the play menu), use the 4-way controller to browse.
|Press the zoom controller to tele to magnify the image, you can zoom in up to 4x. Use the 4-way controller to scroll around.|
