As well as shooting our studio test scene at each camera's lowest sensitivity we also shot it at ISO 800 and 1600. The D80 fares surprisingly well against the EOS 400D, although it is clear to see that the Canon has managed to maintain more 'texture' which is lost somewhat to the Nikon noise reduction (which you could obviously turn off if you wished).
