Nikon D700 (RAW) vs. Nikon D300 (RAW)
Nikon D700 (RAW)
Nikon D300 (RAW)
3.3 MB JPEG (4256 x 2382)
3.1 MB JPEG (3888 x 2592)
Both cameras improve sharpness and per-pixel detail by shooting in RAW but differences at base ISO are truly marginal and most likely down to the fact that the images have been taken with different lenses. The D700 handles the highlight roll-off on the paper clips in a slightly more pleasing manner but other than that you'd struggle to find any difference at all.
