Retouch Menu

The ability to 'retouch' your images in-camera is gradually becoming standard across the Nikon DSLR range. Nikon has provided a fairly good range of retouching options such as their 'digital fill flash' D-lighting, Red-eye correction and even color filter effects. The D60 adds a few new options including a 'cross filter' with a surprising amount of customization. Note that retouching always results in a new image (the original is never altered), retouching can be applied to JPEG or RAW images but always results in a JPEG.

As mentioned earlier the D60 now also offers in-camera Raw conversion and the ability to convert a series of stills into a single 'stop motion' AVI movie file.
