Studio scene comparison (JPEG)

This is our standard studio scene comparison shot taken from exactly the same tripod position. Lighting: daylight simulation, >98% CRI. Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F).

Nikon D200 vs. Nikon D2X

Camera settings:

• Nikon D200: Nikkor 50 mm F1.8 lens, Aperture Priority, ISO 100
  JPEG Large/Fine, Manual WB, Default Parameters (Normal), Self-Timer
   
• Nikon D2X: Nikkor 50 mm F1.8 lens, Aperture Priority,
  ISO 100, JPEG Large/Fine, Manual WB, Default Parameters, Self-Timer

With both Nikon cameras set to their default amount of sharpening it's difficult to make out any significant detail advantage to the D2X.

With both cameras set to High sharpening we get to see the real detail as captured by the sensor, and as with the EOS 5D comparison while it is possible to see some detail advantage to in the D2X image it's not really significant.
