Pressing the MENU button while in auto record mode displays the menu shown to the left (scene exposure modes use a subset of this). The menu is split into two tabs, the first of which contains settings which control exposure and image, the second being the record mode setup menu.

Select image quality (JPEG compression):

• Fine (approx. 1:4 compression)
• Normal (approx. 1:8 compression)
• Basic (approx. 1:16 compression)

Select image size:

• Full (1600 x 1200)
• XGA (1024 x 768)
• VGA (640 x 480)

Select white balance mode:

• Auto
• White balance preset (manually shoot a white balance preset from a white / gray card)
• Fine
• Incandescent
• Fluorescent
• Cloudy
• Speedlight (flash)

Select drive mode:

• Single
• Continuous (~1.5 fps, max 5 frames)
• Multi-shot 16 (sixteen 400 x 300 'thumbnails' on a 1600 x 1200 image)

Best shot selection:

• Off
• On

(When enabled camera chooses sharpest image from a sequence based on size of JPEG file - larger file = more detail)

Exposure compensation:

• +/-2 EV in 0.3 EV steps

Set in-camera sharpening level:

• Auto (camera decides based on scene)
• Normal
• High
• Low
• Off

Set Auto Transfer options:

• On (all images are automatically tagged for transfer)
• Off

Controls filename sequence number behaviour:

• On - files use a continuous running number in their filename
• Off - files running number is reset when a blank card is inserted (or card is formatted)
• Reset - reset current running number

Formats Compact Flash card, all data is erased including hidden and protected images.

Sets camera's internal date, time and date format (D M Y / M D Y / Y M D).

Start a slideshow of images:

Use a 3 x 2 thumbnail view to select images which are protected. Left and right buttons scroll through images, up and down mark image as protected or normal. Protected images can still be lost by performing a card format.

Use a 3 x 2 thumbnail view to select images for printing. Left and right buttons scroll through images, up and down mark image for printing, keep pressing up arrow to increase the number of copies of that image. For use with DPOF compatible printers.

Select images for auto transfer:

• All On (mark all images to be transferred)
