At ISO 400 the Coolpix 5200 is more obviously producing cleaner images, with correspondingly lower noise levels, though in truth there is not much in it. At ISO 400 the difference in sharpness is even more marked, with the Coolpix 5200's image looking much softer - despite there not being much difference in the amount of detail resolved.
