Camera controls

On the top of the camera you'll find the shutter release button (which has a fairly good half-press position) and single power on-off button. The two buttons are located sufficiently far apart and are sufficiently different in design so as not to be confused for one another.
At the back of the camera is a four way controller (left and right arrows plus the zoom control), play / record mode switch and four buttons. All described in more detail below.
Mode Switch

Play Mode Switches the camera to playback (play) mode, immediately displays the last image taken or the last image on the storage card. |

Record Mode Switches camera to record mode (still or movie). If the lens cover is not already open it will slide down first (takes approx. 1 second). |
Buttons (Record mode)

Exposure compensation Adjusts exposure compensation in 0.3 EV steps between -2 EV and +2 EV. |
