Record mode display

Here you can see an example of the live preview image on the LCD just prior to taking a shot, overlaid over the live view image are the current camera settings. In this example we have:

Flash mode (cancelled), Image quality (Super Fine), Frames remaining (32), Focus mode (Macro), Battery status (two thirds).

Half-pressing the shutter release causes the cameras autofocus and metering systems to lock, a steady green lamp beside the viewfinder and a green dot on the screen indicates a good AF lock. After fully depressing the shutter release a brief review image is shown. This is shown for approximately 1.5 seconds.

Play mode display

Switching to play mode immediately displays the last image taken. Use the left and right buttons to browse through images. Kudos to Kyocera, browsing images is VERY fast. Pressing the up or down button overlays a page of information including the full filename, size, date & time, DPOF status, shutter speed, aperture and exposure compensation.
Pressing the telephoto zoom button magnifies the current image 2x, you can use the 4-way controller to scroll around the magnified view.

To switch to thumbnail (or 'Multi') view you have to press the menu button then select multi from the menu. The camera displays images in a 3 x 2 grid.
