At ISO 400 the difference between these two cameras is more pronounced, with Kodak taking a much more aggressive approach to noise reduction. The result is an image which is a lot less grainy, but one where fine detail and texture is being sacrificed. Again, for a regular print it's going to be perfectly acceptable for the target market, but I wouldn't want to use it for any serious photographic work - the noise reduction smearing is just too strong. On a positive note the colour remains very good, with little (if any) desaturation.
