The most obvious competitor for the S5 Pro is the Nikon D200, and it seems fair to suppose that anyone seriously considering the S5 Pro is likely to be checking out the Nikon too. To make up the trio for comparison we're including the EOS 30D (on the basis that it is the closest thing in the Canon lineup to the S5 Pro in terms of pixel count and price), though this camera isn't in the same league, build-wise.
