Compact Flash Compartment
 |
On the right side of
the camera behind a sadly flimsy and cheap-plastic-feeling door is
the Compact Flash compartment. I feel Epson missed a trick by only
supporting CF Type I, however they do get a gold star from me for
orientating the CF slot so that the finger lip on the CF card is facing
outwards, making it quick and easy to retrieve a card (sounds trivial
but can be important shooting in the field).

Connections
 |
On the left side of the camera, behind a protective rubber cover
are a variety of connectors (top to bottom):
Serial I/O (RS232C / RS432)
USB I/O
DC Input (7.0V)
AV Output (Video & Audio - cable supplied)
|

Tripod Mount
 |
Another gold star for Epson, although it's plastic the tripod mount
is positioned directly in line with the center of the lens and (by
the looks of the location) directly below the CCD. This means it's
in the perfect position for shooting panoramas with the camera mounted
on a tripod.

Flash
Located to the left / above the lens is the built in
flash, rated at 0.5 - 4.2m (wide angle), on top of the camera we find
a standard flash hot-shoe for additional flash lights or connection to
a studio flash system, when in external mode only Aperture Priority and
Manual Priority are available.
