Pressing the MODE button whilst in REC mode brings up the record MODE menu, designed like a "virtual controller" this circular dial allows you to choose from one of the cameras record modes:

As reported on other sites there are several hidden options on the QV-3000EX (no idea why these aren't published).

Pressing DISP switches to the advanced menu. |
