5,505 KB JPEG (5616 x 3744)
The RAW comparison confirms what was seen earlier in the JPEG comparison - two sensors from the same manufacturer (designed little more than a year apart) with exactly the same resolution will produce resolution and sharpness indistinguishable from each other. There is nothing to be gained in spending the extra money on the 1Ds Mark III in terms of image quality, be it from a resolution or image noise perspective (at least at ISO 100). At less than half the price of the 1Ds Mark III, the 5D Mark II represents really good value for money.
