The amount of fine detail resolved from the front of the Martini bottle is very similar from both of these cameras, but the 5D Mark II holds a slight advantage in all these crops. These are both RAW files output from Adobe Camera RAW, so this should be a level playing field. But ultimately the A900 - with what should be one of the best lenses you can buy for it - can't quite compete with the EOS 5D Mark II's pixel level sharpness.
