Canon EOS-1D Mark IV vs. Canon EOS-1D Mark III
Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
Canon EOS-1D Mark III
5.0MB JPEG (4896 x 3264)
3.6MB JPEG (3888 x 2592)
Again, with the in-camera processing taken out of the equation, the Mark IV's results no longer stand out as much as they did in when comparing JPEGs. However, that doesn't in any way diminish the advantage that the Mark IV appeared to offer in JPEG - as a press/sports camera, a large proportion of its users are likely to shoot predominantly in JPEG, so will see that difference in most of their images.
And, even when using more comparable processing from RAW, the 1D Mark IV maintains the detail advantage of its greater resolution.
