At ISO 400 the limitations of such a densly-packed small sensor are more obvious - noise is visible, though not so bad as to make the images unusable (and it's certainly a lot lower than the Samsung). Again, detail and sharpness are very good, though it is obvious that the heavy noise reduction is taking its toll on fine detail - the Samsung pictures look slightly sharper, if noisier (except at the edge of the frame where the superiority of the PowerShot's optics is obvious).
