Although there is not a huge difference in the overall colour or tonal range captured by these two cameras, the Canon images look cleaner (less sharpening) and have as much detail in the centre - and considerably more at the edges than the Samsung. In fact there really is little to fault here; noise is well controlled, there's no visible sharpening artefacts, colors 'pop out' and there is bags of clean, sharp detail across the frame. Very impressive.
