The F30's far superior high ISO performance is down to a combination of factors; better sensor design, larger CCD (with considerably larger pixels) and very clever noise reduction processing. And looking at these images you can see how well it all works, with the A640 shot looking very noisy by comparison. If you can live with the noise the A640 shot has more detail (just about), but even reducing it to 6 megapixels to match the F30 and running something like Noise Ninja won't produce a result quite as good as the Fuji shot. Again - if you're not producing anything over a 6x4" print this is hardly likely to be an issue.
