Compared to... Canon PowerShot A710 IS

At ISO 800 the story is the same - but more so, with virtually all fine detail lost to the combined effects of noise and noise reduction. For emergency use only - and even then only for massively-reduced on-screen use. The only thing worse than the NV7's ISO 800 output is its ISO 1000 output. Very poor.
