What can I say other than Kudos to Pentax for delivering sharp detailed images even at high sensitivities, rather than softening the image to mask noise. This is most noticeable comparing the difference between the K100D and EOS 350D at ISO 1600 (this does appear to be a difference in sharpening, Canon choosing to effectively turn down sharpening at higher sensitivities).
