As we've seen during our noise studio tests the E-420's noise filter keeps visible (and measurable) noise to an absolute minimum even at higher sensitivities. Of course this comes at the expense of image detail which is heavily blurred. If you switch the noise filter off you can get quite a bit of detail back but you'll have to live with some visible noise.
