This is our standard studio scene comparison shot taken from exactly the same tripod position. Lighting: daylight simulation, >98% CRI. Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F). Camera settings as per previous pages.

The EOS 400D gains a little more again from the use of Adobe Camera RAW as the image processor, demonstrating slightly better 'per pixel sharpness' (the definition of detail between one pixel and the next, the clarity of single pixel detail). Applying a little more sharpening to the E-410 image would perhaps lift some of its detail but of course could also lead to visible sharpening artifacts.
