Studio scene comparison (RAW)

This is our standard studio scene comparison shot taken from exactly the same tripod position within minutes of each other. Lighting: daylight simulation, >98% CRI. Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F). Camera settings a per previous pages (except for the use of RAW format).

This combination of using Adobe Camera RAW and the same amount of sharpening for each camera is capable of better equalizing the comparison and revealing the true characteristics of each sensor (at minimum sensitivity; ISO 100 / 160). In this case that again the E-330 appears to have a strong anti-alias filter and that the DSC-R1's resolution advantage allows it to reveal more detail from the original scene. That said it's a slim advantage even at relatively large print sizes.
