As well as shooting our studio test scene at each camera's lowest sensitivity we also shot it at ISO 800 (or the maximum). As you can see from the 100% crops below the E-300 loses some detail at this higher sensitivity (it is above the 'recommended' sensitivity for the CCD), the best results are from Canon's CMOS sensor both on the six megapixel EOS 300D and the eight megapixel EOS 20D. The C-8080 WZ keeps its image fairly clean but loses a lot of detail to heavy noise reduction.
