Single / multiple image selection

Several options in the Play and Retouch menus require you to select images (for printing, deletion etc.), this is carried out using a six image thumbnail selector. There are two types of selector; one which allows single image selection and the other which allows multiple selections (it has the 'Set' option) before executing the task.

Retouch Menu

The ability to 'retouch' your images in-camera is new feature which was introduced with the D80. Nikon has provided a fairly good range of retouching options such as their 'digital fill flash' D-lighting, Red-eye correction and even color filter effects. Note that retouching always results in a new image (the original is never altered), retouching can be applied to JPEG or RAW images but always results in a JPEG.
