Studio scene comparison (RAW)

This is our standard studio scene comparison shot taken from exactly the same tripod position. Lighting: daylight simulation, >98% CRI. Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F). Camera settings as per previous pages.

Again both cameras gain some extra detail from switching to RAW, but there is still a visible difference in sharpness. With the image pipeline equalized by using ACR this would confirm our initial suspicion about different grade AA filters on these two cameras. However with a bit of extra sharpening on the Sony file you'd be hard pushed to tell these pictures apart at normal viewing magnifications (not bad considering the $5000 difference in price).
