Camera Base / Tripod Mount
 |
I was smitten about the base of the D1 and thank goodness Nikon
haven't changed anything here, that big pad of rubber protects the
base of the camera while also providing a stable platform for camera
grip against surfaces and tripod heads.
The tripod mount is metal and in line with the lens center and
focal plane.

Flash Hot-shoe
 |
The D1H's accessory shoe (Hot-shoe) will accept the following Nikon
Speedlights without a sync cable: SB-50DX, SB-28DX, SB-28, SB-27,
SB-26, SB-25, SB-24, SB-23, SB-22s and SB-29.

Lens Mount
 |
The D1H has a Nikon F lens mount, it can accept almost any Nikkor
F mount lens the manual states "To take full advantage of the
complete range of camera features, we recommend that you use type
G or D AF Nikkor CPU lenses."
A full lens compatibility table is available on a later page of
this review.
