Studio scene comparison (JPEG vs. RAW)

Below are 100% crops from a JPEG straight from the camera and a RAW file converted using Adobe Camera RAW (we've already proved that it produces the better ISO 100 images than DiMAGE Viewer and DiMAGE Master). We did had to adjust some ACR settings to produce the same contrast and color response as the camera JPEG.

Adobe Camera RAW settings (all other settings default)

• Shadow: 15 (default is 5)
• Brightness: 40 (default is 50)
• Saturation: 8 (default is 0)

As we had noted earlier in this review you can achieve slightly more detail and more per-pixel 'crispness' by shooting RAW and converting using Adobe Camera RAW. That said it's not perfect, as you can see from some color artifacting on the last crop.
