Compact Flash Compartment
 |
On the right side of the camera (from the back) is the spring loaded
SD/MMC compartment door, just slide it outwards and it will spring
open revealing the storage slot. Cards are inserted and removed
with a single press. Here you can see the largest capacity currently
available, a 512 MB SD card (this one from Viking). The 935 had
no problems using this large card, although my SD->CF slot adapter
wasn't compatible with it, beware.

Connections
 |
On the left side of the camera (from the back) is a mini-USB (1.1)
terminal, below this a DC-IN connector (for use with the optional
AC adapter). In addition to these connectors the 935 also has a
dock socket in the base of the camera for connection to the optional
HP 8886 camera dock (which also provides video out). Once more I
would have liked to see HP try harder with the design of the connections
cover, an integrated hinged plastic door would look considerably
neater.

Lens
 |
The 935 has a Pentax branded 3x optical zoom lens, this provides
an equivalent zoom range of 37 to 111 mm. Maximum aperture at wide
angle is F2.8, at telephoto F4.6. The lens takes a fairly lethargic
three seconds to extend, total power up time is around five seconds
(slow by today's standards).
|

Base / Tripod Mount
 |
On the base of the camera is the tripod mount, from a use point
of view it's far too close to the front of the camera and is likely
to lead to cameras tipping forward on a typical tripod mounting
plate. Also visible is the camera dock socket used to connect the
camera to the optional 8886 camera dock (provides USB and Video
out).
|

Internal Flash
 |
The 935's flash is located at the top right of the front of the
camera, it has a specified range of 2.5 m (8.2 ft) at wide angle
and 1.3 m (4.3 ft) at telephoto.

Camera Dock (optional)
The HP Photosmart 8886 camera dock provides A/V out,
USB out and DC-IN connectivity for the camera when placed on the dock.
The camera comes with its own 'insert' (the dark gray part on the top
of the dock) which must first be attached to the bare dock. With power
from the external AC adapter the camera can charge NiMH batteries while
on the dock. Also included is an infrared remote control which can be
used to browse, rotate, magnify, share and print mark images while viewing
on a TV screen.
