
Record mode display (Auto record modes)

Here is an example of Auto record mode, in this mode the only items
on the Function menu which can be changed are drive mode (self-timer)
and image size / quality. You can also change flash mode and engage
macro focus.

Record mode display (Manual record mode)

Here, an example of information overlay in Manual record mode.
FUNC settings are shown down the left of the frame (in the exact
same place they are with the FUNC menu displayed), other settings
along the top and bottom of the frame. AiAF mode is disabled, hence
the center AF frame. (You can have less information overlaid, click
here).

In this case: FUNC: +0.3 EV compensation, Cloudy WB, Single
drive, ISO 50, Evaluative Metering, Large / Super-Fine JPEG. Others:
Macro Focus, Flash Cancel,150 shots remaining.

| Here we're already half-pressed the shutter release
and are ready to shoot. Automatically selected AF areas turned green
to indicate a good focus. Note the exposure display now visible. If
you were using AiAF focus mode it would indicate which areas are being
used (click

After shooting a review is displayed briefly, a clean
image with no overlaid information. Note that you can press the SET
button to freeze the review on the screen or the FUNC button to display
the 'Erase / Cancel' option. Note that this is the only review display
mode, the A70 has no histogram display option. |

Play mode display

| Switching to play mode
immediately displays the last image taken. Depending on the previously
chosen display mode you'll see this (clean image, no info overlaid) |
Press DISPLAY to increase
the information displayed: folder / filename, frame number, image
quality / size, date / time. |

| Press DISPLAY again to
switch to the histogram / exposure mode. Here we can see detailed
exposure information as well as an exposure histogram. The A70 does
not have a histogram display mode or blinking highlights. |
