I love this lens on my M9. It is hard to focus right at f1.1 but the magnifier makes it much easier. When this lens arrived and would not lock onto my camera because the place where the camera lens lock thing was had a bur in it that I had to file off before it would go on right. After that it worked fine. I like the screw in hood which makes filter use simple and though the lens is massive it is a great lens for those really low light situations.

As regarding the quality of this lens, I rate it very highly, but it does not have quite the 'build' quality you will find in a far more expensive Leica 50mm f0.95 lens. Saying that you do not have to find much more money to pay for it. There are those who say the Leica version has a far better Bokeh, this lens is suitable if you find you need a fast lens, or have the need to use one. The lens is not machined to such a high standard, you might notice the focus ring as a little slack. I tend ...
