Dear all, I'm a former semi-professional photographer (still and wedding, mostly) from Italy, that used to take pictures for paying its College studies (we're lucky from that pov, just 12-15k euros for a medical school). Afetr graduating, I had to sell all my Canon gear and medium format anaogue equipment (and relative darkroom) because I had to move and for getting married; some time later, my wife gave me a gift: an alpha-57 with a kit lens. No gift could have been better: I really like the...

using XQD cards in the future a7 series cameras, a99 replacement or new series? The current read/write times are pretty slow. I've never used the cards . Serious, if unimportant , question :) I do realize more expensive and larger(?). Thanks, --Anticipate the Light and wing it when you get it wrongTomhttp://taja.smugmug.com/http://images.nikonians.org/galleries/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/165169

Just see in ebay that minolta 600 F4 is in my budget. But there are too less photo in flickr or review site. Yes I read Dyxum and I want more sample image with more modern camera like A77II, A99, or even A7R/A7s/A7R2. I own Tamron 150-600 and I love this lens in 150-450 only. 600 is not too shape to me so I would like to know is minolta good to me or not.

I saw the A68 won't be available until next March.  IS that true?  Does this mean no A99ii until after that?

Hello, I decided to upgrade my A99's firmware from 1.01 to 1.02. I downloaded all the apps (mac) and started the update process. And it failed at some point during the actual update. The app suggested turning the camera off and trying again. But the camera wouldn't turn on. At all.  Turning the on/off ring makes no difference. And as long as there's battery in the camera, the red light at the bottom (the one that's usually blinking when a memory card is being used) - doesn't matter whether...

The a99 is rated for 200,000 shutter actuations. Using one of the available tools, mine has 212,000+ shots. So I have passed the rated number... what can I expect? Will it fail immediately, and without prior notice? Or will I have odd behavior (overexposed here and there) for a while and then it fails? Does anyone know if replacement of the shutter is covered under the extended warranty? --Want a roXplosion!?

I do love the A6000 and was looking into also an A7 soon. Do I dump old screw mount lens and go E mount or use the adapter and use my older lens? The Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 is the only one with USD and not sure if using the other LA-EA3 adapter will phase detection auto focus. Any thoughts? A Mount list, Full frame. Hi.. I'm a long time user of A99 and love the camera. Seeing the mirror-less hype though, I am thinking of buying an A7xx body. Question: Should I go for the cheaper A7II, or the much more expensive and latest A7RII? There is about a $1,000 price difference between the two. Can anyone comment if that price difference is really important.. and how much better would the results be than the A99?

I noticed this on a recent trip and have been able to spend some time with the camera since. When I use the camera with any lens it allows me to set the f/stop, however when I take the picture the camera always sets the f/stop wide open (ie. f/4 or f/2.8, depending on which lens I use). So I tested with DOF and sure enough, no matter what I set the f/stop for the preview only shows me max. The result, of course, is pictures that are over exposed and with shallower DOF than I intended. Now you...
