I just purchased 2 of these cards for my A99. Does anyone own this card? how fast is it? reliable? is it ok, good, great, or amazing? please give me your thoughts, as it seems to be discontinued on a lot of sites. I got my hands on two samples of the 135/1.8. One has significantly less focus ring resistance than the other. I also noticed that the one with less focus ring resistance was mounted on the camera with (how to say) less force than the other. Is it normal or one of them is faulty?
It seems that turning steady shot on and off doesn't work as it should. I always hear a tick when press the shutter half way down. Few minutes ago, I took a shot from a notebook with the 135mm lens at 1/30 and all letters were reasonably sharp whereas the steady shot was off!!! I have shaky hands but I believe even steady hands cannot be that steady with a 135mm at 1/30. So, I think steady shot was not off. Has anybody experienced such a thing? Do I have a faulty body?
Hello What are cheapest new Sony FF cameras to utilize A-mount lenses? In fact I'm confused a little about naming and A-mounts compatibility of Sony new models. I have preserved Sony 35mm G 1.4 lens, Tokina 17 mm and some other for FF experience but looks like used and old models a99 and a900 cost almost as much as new A7. Or are old models somehow of higher value then new ones?
I just wanted to mount my A99 with 135/1.8 attached on the tripod but I thought It wasn't a good idea. It seems that the weight of this lens is more than what the A99 is capable of handling. I do not know why Sony hasn't designed a tripod collar for this lens. Has anybody done that before? Any suggestion?
I use a A99 + Sony 70-400 II for shooting BIF. I'm interested in Tamron 150-600 because of the longer reach but I have understood that the sharpness in Tamron drops down after 500 mm. Another possibility is to buy an A77 II and keep the Sony 70-400 which should give the same reach, but lose in noise about one stop. The A77 II body is about the same price as the Tamron. What are your thoughts on my situation, what would you do or recommend?
Hello and thx for answering... I have a A99 and Sigma 50mm 1.4, and I clean my lens as often as possible, and I don not see any speckles on the camera sensor itself, but I have never gotten that cleaned before. I have these reoccurring dots/smudges on all of my photos (always in the same place). Would a sensor cleaning get rid of these? --http://www.viewbug.com/member/vincentlopezhttp://www.coroflot.com/vincentlopezTechnology does not take good photos, people do.
