I have a set of Pixel Soldiers (TX and RX) that with adaptors, sit on my A99 and HS60 respectively. The are powered up and the TX has a green LED but the RX only has a slowly flashing red LED. I have selected the same set, A (but have tried C) on both but nothing ? Some setting I am missing on the camera or on the flash ? I know there's no TTL so I just expected the flash to fire... and I would adjust the flash power manually... What am I doing wrong ?
It's hard for me to design. A7II with 5 Axis Stab, but lens only A Mount <-- I hate this. A99 with a lot of A Mount Lens. I found 2 deals for this camera under $1500. Which one should I buy? If you have money, and you can only pick one. which one you should pick? P/S: I shoot outdoor fashion, portraits only. --Add me? For those who have an a99, does the AF/MF button feel somewhat mushy rather than having a distinct tactile feel to it when depressed? The same AF/MF button on the a99 vertical grip has a definite tactile feel to it, where your thumb can actually feel a "click" which the AF/MF button on the a99 body seems to lack. The AF/MF button on both my a77 and a77ii definitely have the same tactile feel (as does the button on their vertical grips), so I'm wondering whether my a99 button needs to go in...
I currently own the cz 24-70 and love the shallow depth of field at 2.8 but my recent purchase of the a77ii mk2 has made me question the need to keep my a99... the dynamic range of the a77ii is pretty close the af is outstanding so my only only reason I keep the a99 is the shallow depth of field in low light. The art lens on the sigma 18-35 f1.8 will give me the reach I need for most of my shots Has anyone took a step back into these new art lens and compared the results... The a99 is a way...
I am very strongly considering purchasing a 35mm/1.4 lens for A-Mount in the very near future (possibly within a week). The uses will be Wedding Photography and Videography (not simultaneous). I need the 1.4 Aperture for Video low light and I think the 35mm is a pretty versatile focal length for all day usage in both photography and videography. My other lenses are the Sony Zeiss 24-70/F2.8 and the Sony Zeiss 135/F1.8. I am thinking the 24-70/F2.8 on one body all day and then the 35mm/1.4...
So I feel foolish not knowing this and I haven't been able to find an answer online or in this A99 book, but the camera is constantly changing fstop when its hanging on my side and I can't figure out how to lock all settings. Example being indoors shooting at f 2.8 and pick the camera up from my side and it's now f22...never had the issue with any other camera so I'm ignorant to possible solutions. --www.joshsouzaphotos.com
