As a photo hobbyist, this camera has not let me down. The kit lens are acceptable, but I upgraded to better glass with even better results. Several of my prints have received awards with many getting the comments like "WOW, that's a great picture". I've effectively used the 10 frames a second continuous shooting feature to capture some sequenced actions shots that told the story with great emotion. The image stabilization has allowed me to get crisp photos in locations that did not allow use ...

Its been a year since I got the Sony SLT-A65, and I have really enjoyed using the camera. I moved up from a compact camera the Canon S90. After many weeks of research online, the shortlist came down to the Canon 60D and the SLT-A65. I was a little unsure of the Sony DSLR lineup but now I am really comfortable with a full Sony system. The main advantages of the A65 that I see are: Full time live view Fast autofocus (depending on lens) 24 MP resolution that allows for cropping Availability ...

I also own an A55 and this replaced my A100. I really like this camera. It's IQ is outstanding especially below iso 1600. It is equal to the A55 at iso 1600 and above which means it's good for an APS-C camera if not outstanding. Since 95% of my photography is below iso 3200 and never above iso 3200 it fits my needs perfectly in that regard. That said a good 8x10 can be made from an iso 6400 photo. It's resolution, focus speed and AF accuracy are all top notch for an under $1000 camera. Build ...

Great EVF what you see is what you get, immediate feedback to manual override. Light body but good ergonomics. Fast enough AF and great speed 10fps when needed. (very usable 8fps with continuous focus) Noisy at all iso much more than my A850 but stay up to iso800 and setting the right jpg customization you'll get great shots enjoying in camera HDR, Sweep Panorama, Peak Focus for MF. Don't undervaluate in camera stabilization, the translucent technology does mean higher noise but even no ...

I was looking to buy Sony SLT-A65 since its anouncement but sold it with loss after 3-4 weeks of using. Main reason is bad performance after ISO exceeds 1200-1600. In real life it means that if you are using zoom lens at 300 mm in conditions other than bright sunny day you have to raise ISO and shutter speed and as result get noisy pics. The only thing that I liked is great EVF. Problems: Noisy pictures at ISO higher than 1200.

This camera is much better than the first SLT generation A33/55 and of course of all the previous A2/3/5 class series. As you can see my latest photos (easter vacation in Crete) from my big fat Greek photo album at : http://community.webshots.com/user/btbill the image quality is excellent combined with a very good len like CZ16-80. I have taken shots with many settings Auto+/Aperture/Hand held twilight/Sports and the results are almost perfect (i am amateur photographer). Many things have ...

The camera has many features. It performs automatic exposure also with Samyang manual focus lenses when you enable release w/o lens option.Be careful before lens changing to select the correct option enable or disable release w/o lens to avoid temporary malfunction. If this happens stop the camera and ceck out the battery for 10 seconds.Restart camera and select the correct option. The IQ is good with a great resolution from iso 100 to 1600.The oled viewfiender is amazing.I love this camera.

its a good investment but quite expensive, even your a beginner you can actually feel the comfortability of the unit and the translucent mirror which is one of a kind

Great single unit brings access to all great CZ or G lens without adding extra efforts or cost to change & switch. The best is the bottom line you have a builtin GPS in camera which the NEX-7 doesn't. Using all A mount lenses without having to spend extra efforts to deal with extra piece of constant changing part. Price wise it's way more valuable than its actual if you compare it to the A77's $600+ functionally & NEX-7 $500+ still have missing function that cannot compare to the iPhones (GPS). ...

Great camera with brand new technology i believe it will change the game in the SLR market. you can't imagine how fast is it, i had to reduce the continuous drive speed from menu as the normal click take 2-3 shots! Image quality is out of question "excellent". Sweep Panoramic option give you great panoramic snaps in a very effective easy way. the a65 have a solid build and even the lens included enhanced a lot from the last one (a 55). Problems: 10fps great but it needs higher buffer size ...
