Its been a year since I got the Sony SLT-A65, and I have really enjoyed using the camera. I moved up from a compact camera the Canon S90. I also own an A55 and this replaced my A100. I really like this camera. It's IQ is outstanding especially below iso 1600. It is equal to the A55 at iso 1600 and above which means it's good for an APS-C camera if not outstanding. Since 95% of my photography is below iso 3200 and never above iso 3200 it fits my needs perfectly in that regard. That said a good 8x10 can be made from an iso 6400 photo. Great EVF what you see is what you get, immediate feedback to manual override. Light body but good ergonomics. Fast enough AF and great speed 10fps when needed. I was looking to buy Sony SLT-A65 since its anouncement but sold it with loss after 3-4 weeks of using. Main reason is bad performance after ISO exceeds 1200-1600. In real life it means that if you are using zoom lens at 300 mm in conditions other than bright sunny day you have to raise ISO and shutter speed and as result get noisy pics. The only thing that I liked is great EVF. Problems: Noisy pictures at ISO higher than 1200.

This camera is much better than the first SLT generation A33/55 and of course of all the previous A2/3/5 class series. The camera has many features.It performs automatic exposure also with Samyang manual focus lenses when you enable release w/o lens option.Be careful before lens changing to select the correct option enable or disable release w/o lens to avoid temporary malfunction.If this happens stop the camera and ceck out the battery for 10 seconds.Restart camera and select the correct option.The IQ is good with a great resolution from iso 100 to 1600.The oled viewfiender is amazing.I love this camera.

Great single unit brings access to all great CZ or G lens without adding extra efforts or cost to change & switch. The best is the bottom line you have a builtin GPS in camera which the NEX-7 doesn't. Using all A mount lenses without having to spend extra efforts to deal with extra piece of constant changing part. Price wise it's way more valuable than its actual if you compare it to the A77's $600+ functionally & NEX-7 $500+ still have missing function that cannot compare to the iPhones (GPS). ...

Great camera with brand new technology i believe it will change the game in the SLR market. you can't imagine how fast is it, i had to reduce the continuous drive speed from menu as the normal click take 2-3 shots!
