16503  a77ii with minolta 80-200 2.8 micro-adjust.  RECENTLY UPGRADED FROM AN A57 TO THE A77II.  THE MINOLTA WAS SHARP ON THE A57.  ON THE A77II I FIND THAT I HAVE TO MICRO-ADJUST.  I HAVEN'T TRIED OTHER LENSES YET.  JUST WONDERING IF THIS IS A COMMON SITUATION WITH MICR0-ADJUSTMENT ON NEWER CAMERAS?

Please help me, Posted this on sony nex - aps-c forum too. I'm trying to decide between a Brand new Sony A6000 + 18-105 f4.0 vs Sony Rx10 (version 1) (this one will be a used one). It will mainly be used for wedding video (75% video and 25% stills). It will be an A cam (the a6000 is more expensive and im afriad it will overheat.. I have a sony a55 and it overheats a 4 or 5 minutes in direct sunlight; The Sony A7 I sold.. overheated too but rarely. I had a a57 (didn´t overheat) that was stolen...

I bought 2nd hand over last weekend the Sony SAL 16-50mm SSM lens from a person who was trying to sell his A77 but was willing to part with lens alone, so this was the kit lens on the A77. I noticed the below when I tested on my A57: * Squeaky noise when the camera is trying to get the focus right The pointer thing in the clear plastic which keeps moving seems to be making the noise Is this is something that happens on all 16-50mm SSM? or it is a defect? * Focus ring is tight Focus ring is...

So there are two types of lens adapters for putting Nikon F lenses on Minolta/Sony A mount bodies. Some have a lens element to allow infinity focus, and some have no lens and can't go to infinity. My question is... on the ones without the lens, how far out DO they go? Is it truly very close macro only, or can they focus out to 5 or 10 feet but just can't make the horizon? Anyone tried one? It might be nice to have enhanced macro capabilities and still be able to use the lens for portraits of...

Will the spare battery on my A55 be any use in the 77ii?  Or should I give it to the person who will be receiving the old camera?  Sony website suggests it might be the same, but only goes back as far as the A57 in listing compatible products. --Paypal? Just say "No!"

Hello everybody, I've been reading this gorgeous forum for a lot of time but never participated. I could always find the answers, and others' questions were answered before I came. This sad post is beacuse my Sony a57 was stolen yesterday with a couple of lenses (Tamron 10-24 and Sony 75-300 kit). But i still have some A-mount lenses that I'd like con continue using, although they are not expensive: - Minolta AF 50mm / 1.7 - Minolta AF 28mm / 2.8 - Minolta AF 35-70mm / 4-5.6 - Tamron 18-200...

I made a couple of videos lately but I'm not that happy with the results. Each had similar capture circumstances and settings and each exhibits similar problems. I include both only because the problems may be a bit more evident in one or the other. Capture is done with: the A57 (appropriately enough for this forum). the kit 18 - 55 lens auto focus, zone zooming with lens and clear image zoom not sure what else is relevant. Video is shot in 1080p at 24fps. Here are the videos: Rebounding...

Hi, I'm shooting a video in aperture exposure mode and wish to lock in my exposure setting. Reason being that I have a light background behind the subject. I'd like to point my camera elsewhere then lock exposure then point it at subject. Problem is that every time I tap the movie button the camera resets the exposure and my subject is underexposed. I know there is a way to lock it and do what I'm attempting. I've done it in the past but can't seem to remember how. Does anyone share what the...

I've noticed a few lens mount adapters, say, M42 to Sony A, and with the used lens market it looked like a fun way to get a few inexpensive, different lenses to play around with. Is there a list somewhere with which adapters work with which lenses?  Are there limitations, i.e; m42 50mm 1.4 fits aps-c fine, 80mm f1.8 doesn't, etc? Sorry for all the questions, i keep googling and still seem to come up short, or more confused than when i began searching. In summary i suppose my question is, I...
