Hi, I am using SLT A57. I am kind of unhappy with the quality of the images i am getting from my camera. Am not sure where I am going wrong. The exposure meter in the camera, while taking the snap, showed as 0 (supposed to be proper exposure). But when I try to edit the image in editor (Rawtherapee) , the editor shows as the image is under exposed by 1 to 2 EV. I tried using all the available types of metering modes in SLT-A57, but that didn't give me any better result. How to confirm that my...

I have Sony A57 and lately I bought Sony A77. Changing exposure compensation on A77 I don't see any changes looking trough viewfinder or on the screen only after taking the picture. On the other hand A57 shows the changes on the viewfinder and the screen before taking the picture. Is it normal for A77 or it is something wrong with this camera? I can't find any information about that in the manual of A77. My settings for both cameras: A priority /A57 plus DT1.8 35mm - A77 plus DT2.8...

I'm looking for a new camera for shooting at conferences, so I need something quiet (not to disturb the audience/speaker) and performing well in low-light conditions (the room is usually dimmed, requiring ISO ~1600-3200). Interchangeable lens is "a must have" and generally the more it feels like a DSLR, the better. I use DSLR Sony SLT-A57 for ~2 years, and it served me well, but the shutter sound gets more and more annoying while shooting in quiet rooms, and the low-light performance is...

Hi friends, i am using Sony A57 from around a year and so, as it is very good camera, it working great for me but one of my friends wants to buy it. I do't want to add any extra money so A77 II is not in my list, I don't like A65 and A99 is out of my budget so thinking to get an A77, what would be your suggestions? is it good to go for A77 or better stick on A57. few things of A77 attracting me like the mid size SLR, weather sealed and Shutter upto 8000 suggestion require before i go for it....

I'm still finding my way around a lot of photography technology so I'm sorry if this is very basic or has been answered elsewhere, I did search around first!I have an a57 and want the option of taking a shot which is then promptly displayed on a laptop. The upload speeds from wi-fi cards are a bit painful. Is there a way to connect my camera to my laptop and have some software show my photos as I shoot them? Thanks for any help :)

Has anyone used the 50mm sigma on an A57 and if so what was your take on it. I'm looking for a portrait lens and I was thinking about getting the sigma since it is only $406 I know they have an arts version that runs about $900 and some change. So is there much difference between the two lens other than the price?
