This past week I bought my Dad a new Sony WX350 to replace his Kodak Cameras (5 & 2 yrs old).  For years Dad has been using various Kodak's and has been able to use the "Delete Photos" on the SD Card option in iPhoto after importing the pictures then putting the SD cards back in the cameras with no issue - ever...  I also have never had an issue with deleting the pics off the SD Card from iPhoto using any Kodak or Sony camera including the Sony A300, A550, A55, A57, or RX-100. However, the...

I've never done well going for full moon images, but with the full lunar eclipse scheduled tonight at 2300 hours in Southern California, I'm going to try again. Shooting from my tripod with my A57 and Sony 55-300 F 4.5-5.6 lens, I hope to get a decent shot but really don't know the best settings to use. We will have a clear field of view, so can anyone recommend the f-stop and speed to have the best chance of getting a good image? Thanks in advance.

I would like to know if A6000 has better accuracy and faster lock in low light in AF-S, or just more focus point, and as such, only better tracking C_AF, but the same performance in single point AF. Im planning on buying one of those cameras for wedding video (and ocasionally stills in the weddings that don´t have video). It will be: - Sony a6000 + 18-105 f4 OSS + external zoom hn1 audio recorder (everything new for 1250€); or - Sony A7 (used) + 28-70 f3.5-5.6 (used) + LA-EA4 (new)...

I would like to buy a flash for my A57, and I do like the notion of staying with Sony for full integration of all flash functions. I also don't change equipment a lot, so I don't mind paying a bit upfront for features (and brand name, I guess!). The Sony website currently lists the following that I might consider. HVL-F42AM HVL-F43AM HVL-F56AM HVL-F58AM HVL-F60M I can certainly read up all the specs, but I wonder if anyone has some simple guidelines to differentiate these models apart from...

I have been confused over the choice of my first dslr and have done a lot of research. I didn't really give Sony much thought. I was inclined towards Canon 60D but its bad high iso performance put me off. But recently a Sony a3X user has highly recommended Sony A57 over any other camera in that price range. I used it and I found it a good camera, really fast focus and frame rate, but is there any risk in taking the Sony route over Nikon, Canon or Pentax given that I might look to upgrade my...

Hi All, I've done hours of research into these two lenses and I can't decide between the two. I have an A57. I'll be dumping my kit 18-55 for one of them. Looking for a versatile lens to compliment my primes. I can pick these up for the same price, and I just can't decide between the two. Does anyone have any experience with both or recommendation?

Hi friends, I am A57K user, recently wants to capture the water fall or river in slow exposure modes like few seconds but having problem with it. I have made my ISO lowest like 100 and so, Aperture narrow as possible like f22 in fix lenses (30mm/50mm), f32 in 18-55mm lenses in 55mm, also even f38-40 in tele lens (70-300mm) where that narrow aperture go only in 250-300mm but shutter would not go lower than 1/8 so, if i make them go lower than that the picture would comes out over exposed...

Hello! I just got a ecm-ds70p microphone for my a57.  Well the camera is still recording via built in mic.  I've plugged my new mic into my computer and I am able to record sound.  I have plugged my computer gaming mic into the camera and it records through the computer mic as it should. Any troubleshooting suggestions?   I got the mic from Amazon so I assume it is the real thing.  Looks like it anyway.  Even if it's fake, it doesn't explain why it works with the computer and not the...

Hello, I have been searching for a few days now about which wireless trigger can work with my A57 proprietary hotshoe. Can someone please let me know if my thinking of the setup is wrong. I am planning to use the flashes to take some interior real estate photos with a sigma 10-20mm, the window brightness is really blowing out a lot of my pics. Here is what I am thinking: Can I use a sony hotshoe adapter and then use any type/brand/model of wireless no TTL trigger to fire off 2 remote off...
