I'm pretty sure I have an auto-focus issue. Ran a test shoot with both my a55 and my a77 same lens, same settings. Started with the a55 M,S,A,C then the a77 same order M,S,A,C Please tell me I'm not crazy and what I should do about it. Sent it in for repair came back the same way. http://heidiryder.smugmug.com/A77-Autofocus-test/n-znh4q

I think I read about SLT mirror improvements since Sony released their first, a33 and a55, in the late summer of 2010. Wow, almost four years ago. I am still fascinated whenever I pick up my a55/Tamron 17-50/2.8 combo.... Now for the question: I wondered whether the SLT mirrors from APS-C SLTs introduced later would fit mechanically in my a55. Anybody in the know around here? And, should it fit,  is it worth to upgrade the mirror? In all of my use I never saw an issue so far. Thanks for your...

I have an A55 and a 58, 42 and 43 Sony flashes. ( I can't remember what the model number prefix letters are or which one of the 42 - 43 models is the newer version with the video light), but anyhow, that's the background. I have seen some vague references that the HX-400v can support "wireless" flash, but on the Sony site, the genuine Instruction Manual download does not mention it at all. I am looking to agument my A55 with an HX- 400 and I'd like to know if I can use any of my Sony flashes...

I have a sony A55  that has started to show a "cannot display image" when I try to review some pics that were taken previously,  The pics were displayed immediately after taking them.  When I hooked the camera to my lap top, the display on the lap top read  " file may be corrupted".  Any one ever run into this?  Why would the camera show the file one day, and not be able to do so two days later???    Any advice or ideas will be greatly appreciated!!

I'm looking to upgrade our A55 to the new A77ii kitted with the 16-50 2.8 after the dust settles later this summer. I will try to coax the retailer to bundle up the 70-400G2at the same time for a price break -- or not. Anyhow, I do plan to keep the A55.  I really have no big issues with it, and my wife has progressed somewhat beyond the point and shoot mode when we first bought ityears ago, so she will still use the 55 for awhile. I have the Sony 18-250, the Sony 30 2.8 macro, and the Sigma...

Have noticed the reject rating in Zoom Browsers Star rating filters, But it seems long winded to apply it to photos.Any hints, am I missing something, or is that just how it is? Cheers. --PhilCanon 50D, A550, T-90, T-70, A-1Kodak DX4900, P850

I used to carry my camera to Sony service center in Tokyo. But some time it is not possible therefore, I decided to clean camera sensor myself. After obtaining information I decided to buy Delkin Digital DSLR Sensor Cleaning Refill Kit with Small (16mm) Wands + Lenspen for Sony SLT A55.  Honestly speaking when I was cleaning sensor I was worried but after few attempts everything worked out well. The Dlekin pack had 15 swabs that came handy because learning took time even it took four or five...

This past week I bought my Dad a new Sony WX350 to replace his Kodak Cameras (5 & 2 yrs old).  For years Dad has been using various Kodak's and has been able to use the "Delete Photos" on the SD Card option in iPhoto after importing the pictures then putting the SD cards back in the cameras with no issue - ever...  I also have never had an issue with deleting the pics off the SD Card from iPhoto using any Kodak or Sony camera including the Sony A300, A550, A55, A57, or RX-100. However, the...

I would like to know if A6000 has better accuracy and faster lock in low light in AF-S, or just more focus point, and as such, only better tracking C_AF, but the same performance in single point AF. Im planning on buying one of those cameras for wedding video (and ocasionally stills in the weddings that don´t have video). It will be: - Sony a6000 + 18-105 f4 OSS + external zoom hn1 audio recorder (everything new for 1250€); or - Sony A7 (used) + 28-70 f3.5-5.6 (used) + LA-EA4 (new)...
