Really superb cam, when travelling I usually carried a Panasonic FZ18 or FZ40(light, great zoom, no bag of lenses). This time I took my NEX too for some night shot because they are unusable with the FZs unless you use a tripod (mine is in garage for ages). Long history short I took 99% of pics with NEX. What a difference the APS sensor made! I am blown away. This cam is very light and fun. It's pity this cam has not a viewfinder, shooting under sun light is not that easy. I am saving to buy ...

I fell in love with Sony's NEX C3. I have the 2nd version that was released last year. I have some photos that I've taken (the above picture is an example). I'm just amazed at the level of quality it takes in such low amounts of light with its huge CMOS sensor. Check out my full review on a blog post @ <a ...

After having consulted many (dpreview being amongst them) reviews on that NEX-C3 I finally gave in and decided to try it out as I had a local over here in Belgium for 399 Euros with the 18-55 kit lens and the included little flash. My other camera is a Samsung NX100 with its 20-55mm kit lens and the SEF20A gun (good little flash). Pros: 1. Excellent photo quality 2. High ISO peformance comparable to entry level DSLR (in fact it is the same same sensor as Nikon D7000) 3. Responsive (short start up time, reasonable AF speed, good continuous shooting speed and prompt storage of photo even in RAW + JPEG mode!!!!) 4. Light weight, small size 5. Good focus magnification, allowing for precise manual focusing 6. Excellent battery life (over 300 photos) 7. Very good value for money Verdict: I was never a Sony fan as I thought ...

In terms of image resolving power to the 5N (my main use), it does not really make much different, though I still prefer better dynamic range of the 5N. Handling is also an issue since most of the time I use 5N, using C3 is a bit less grip on my hand, and slightly differ button(s) placement compared to 5N. But portability (weigh, size, etc) is on par both of them, and that's why I chose them. My previous system was Canon rebel line (up to 450D), this NEX system really is a big leap in terms ...
